Crafting Our Culture
The CRAFT Equity Collective is a volunteer run, action based, educational organization designed to Create Reformative Action to Flourish Together. We pledge to you in earnest, our desire to contribute to and create an open and welcoming environment in the Craft Beer world. Participating in our community requires your commitment to treating others with dignity and respect. We expect you to speak your truth and in your manner, and will in turn do the same. We’re a diverse group of folx who are passionate about changing the beer industry.
We recognize that we are here to learn, share, and change behaviors. This requires patience, questioning and being uncomfortable. We’re here to celebrate the awkward and to help each other navigate through social issues in a way that provides a harassment-free experience for everyone
We uphold Our standards by using welcoming and inclusive language. Respectfully listening to differing viewpoints and experiences is essential to building empathy and community. Show kindness when critiquing others and accept constructive criticism as gracefully as possible. We’re passionate and expect you to be passionate, if things get heated learn to take a walk when needed, then come back to share your thoughts.
We will not tolerate unwelcome sexual attention or advances, trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks, public or private harassment, publishing others' private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission. Conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting is to be avoided, “if you’re not sure, don’t!”
